Los premios de la red ITS Nationals entregados esta semana fueron un recordatorio oportuno de cuántos proyectos y programas exitosos se han implementado en toda Europa en los últimos años. El evento contó con el patrocinio de SWARCO, The Traffic Group, Daktronics, IDASO, el Congreso Mundial ITS 2027 en Birmingham e Intertraffic. No solo se honró a países u organizaciones nacionales: también hubo un prestigioso galardón individual.

Al clausurarse la 21.ª Conferencia Europea de Estacionamiento, Theo Thuis (recientemente elegido presidente de la Asociación Europea de Estacionamiento, EPA) instó al sector a convertir el impulso en resultados. Resumiendo las conclusiones clave de Bruselas, reiteró que el estacionamiento ya no es un servicio independiente; es parte integral de ciudades más seguras, más habitables y más accesibles.

Los siniestros de tránsito cobran más de 1,3 millones de vidas en el mundo cada año, y el exceso de velocidad es uno de los factores que más contribuyen a esta cifra. A medida que la urbanización se acelera y la cantidad de vehículos aumenta, los métodos tradicionales de control manual se ven sobrepasados, luchando por mantener una cobertura y consistencia adecuadas en redes viales en expansión.

Two months on and Grush is ready to launch Pudocity Inc, a company fully focused on the subject of autonomous vehicle pick-up and drop-off (hence “PUDO”) management technology.
